Fifty teachers were nominated as Building Teachers of the Year. Of those 50, eight were selected as finalists for Teacher of the Year. To showcase why these very special individuals were chosen, this video montage was constructed and was shown during the 2012 Teacher of the Year Banquet on May 22, 2012. Fathers Walk: Take Your Child to School Day - September 22, 2011

On Thursday, September 22, 2011, thousands of fathers, foster fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, godfathers, cousins, and other significant male caregivers and mentors will walk or drive their children to school to show their support of their children's education. The joint mission of Fame Fathers and the National Fatherhood Initiative is to improve the well-being of children by increasing the proportion of children growing up with involved, responsible and committed fathers.
